OUR SOCIAL IMPACT
Kindred Culture is a dance organization that gives people a positive outlet to express themselves by offering a variety of dance classes that cater to different styles. We focus on building our community by creating meaningful connections with everyone we meet. Giving back to our community is just as important; we do this through supporting charitable organizations with similar values.
We provide drop-in classes and dance programs at our Mississauga studio and community space, as well as organize multiple dance competitions and events throughout the year.
Kindred Culture was founded on October 25, 2013 in Waterloo, Ontario. Launching as a competitive dance team for the University of Waterloo, Kindred Culture was determined to be a group that would help develop friendships and community through dance. After winning first place at their debut performance for the Ontario Universities Competition for Hip-Hop in November of 2013, Kindred Culture decided to use their platform to raise money for World Vision Canada. For their very first workshop and fundraiser, Kindred Culture was able to raise over $4,000 to World Vision Canada. Since then, Kindred Culture has been committed to being a positive outlet for people, building community, and raising support for charitable organizations.
